As an avid runner myself, I can speak for the entire running community when I say that our stride plays an important role in determining how efficient we are. Every individual has a stride pattern unique to themselves, and it is vital to understand how to properly cope with a stride in order to achieve maximum performance; and that is why I will be reviewing the different types of strides and what running shoes work for me and which ones can compliment other runners.
Types of Pronation
Pronation is the natural motion that your feet move in as you alternate between left and right. People with normal-arched feet are usually normal pronators, while those with flat feet typically overpronate, and runners with high arches are associated with underpronation.( I am personally an underpronator.)

Now here are some shoes that I have worn through the years and what pronation I feel that they are best suited for!
Mizuno Wave Creation
These shoes provide the ultimate source of protection and would be great for overpronators due to the fact that they will help level out the foot and are rugged enough to help absorb the awkward stride of an overpronator.
Adidas Adizero Boston
This pair of running shoes were reliable for me and I wore them plenty of times until I outgrew them. I feel that these would best serve normal pronators since the shoe is evenly distributed and will not alter a normal stride.
Nike Flyknit Lunar 1+
These are by far the best running shoes that I have ever owned! They are amazingly light and the cushioning around the heel and toe areas are perfect for underpronators like me. Highly recommended!
These are the shoes that I am currently using: the Nike Air Max 360. The support system makes you feel like you are running on clouds! If you look closely to the left, you can see that the outside of the heel has shown signs of wear because of my underpronation.
