Healthy Oat Pancake Recipe

Healthy Oat Pancake Recipe!!

There is nothing better than that amazing smell and taste of pancakes in the morning right? So when I would hear about "healthy foods" pancakes never came to my mind. I would deprive myself to greens and fruits. That did not last long and was not a success either. I have a passion for health and fitness and I LOVE FOOD. Eating clean should not mean depriving yourself or be boring. Food should taste good! So I decided to learn how to cook but not just cook, I wanted to cook clean, healthy, and yummy. That is  when I realized there are SO  many great recipes! Today I will show you my favorite oat (and protein optional) pancakes that are perfect for breakfast!
INGREDIENTS

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup organic rice milk(or water)
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 large egg whites
1/2 teaspoon (I used more)

Directions:

COOKING!!
1. Heat rice milk until hot. Add oats and set aside (add protein optional)

2. Mix remaining dry ingredients & add oatmeal mixture.

3. Add egg whites and mix until well blended. I used blender for a smoother batter but that is optional! The batter may be thick and if you would like to thin it out add more rice milk or water.

4.Cook on a hot griddle and spray Pam before.

5. There are so many options for the toppings! Nuts, Fruits, Agave syrup, etc. I used sliced bananas, sun-flower seed butter, honey, and cinnamon.

TOPPINGS
This took me about 20 minutes, I did 2 extra pancakes to save for the next morning. They came out amazing and tasted delicious.  They were super easy and simple to make before school or work. Hope you enjoy!!!

Finished Product. YUMMMM
